The AlertFox Story

AlertFox End-User Monitor (EUM) is an in-depth website transaction monitoring service for Web 2.0 and SaaS web applications. Unlike its predecessors who are stuck in a Web 1.0 mindset, only AlertFox can monitor the function and performance of web apps and websites that are based on any of the major rich internet applications (RIA), including AJAX, Flash, Flex, complex HTML and Silverlight technology.

AlertFox also helps SaaS users monitor their provider’s reliability. As the first service that can monitor web applications and websites with Flash and Silverlight applets, AlertFox is able to monitor sites like YouTube or Google Docs that previously were not candidates for these types of services. Furthermore, AlertFox runs directly in the web browser, thereby monitoring the true user experience from custom monitoring locations on your network (ideal for Enterprise customers) around the world as well as from global monitoring points of presence in the Cloud.

AlertFox is a part of the Ipswitch WhatsUp Gold Family. AlertFox officially launched on April 24th, 2009. Prior to its official launch, AlertFox was a semi-finalist in the TechCrunch 50 start-up competition in September 2008 and a finalist in the European Plugg Startup competition in February 2009.
